It’s a new year, and we’re back in full swing! Our school year ‘officially’ begins with our annual ‘Not Back to School’ party, held at our monthly Park Day in August. This year, we also hosted a homeschooling mini-conference, addressing all of the ;getting started’ topics that many new homeschooling parents have. It’s also a great introduction to our group and members, and gives new families a chance to see if this group is a good fit for them.
This year, we have some exciting changes and new opportunities to announce. We’ve officially begun hosting two co-op groups; one for elementary students and one for high school students. We’re also looking forward to participating in the Beaumont Public Library’s teen and childrens’ homeschool book clubs, and will be moving our Park Day each month to a Friday this year to better align with the children’s homeschool book club dates.
If you’re new to our area, to homeschooling, or are looking for an active homeschooling group to be part of, join us on Facebook and plan on coming to our next Park Day for more information!
